Ok so my RSVP is Aug 22nd.. My minimum is 170 and so far i have 123 people going.. How will i get 50 additional by my date?? Thats a lot under...... what do you do?

Sorry to crash-Do you have a back up list? Can you send out more invites? You still have some time. Worst comes to worst either ask if you can take the extra dinners home, or ask a few close guests to ask some friends to come to a free wedding.

I was going to ask the same question...how many people need to reply? Did you invite everyone with a guest? If you didn't you can call them and tell them they can bring a guest. I know that sounds sort of cheesy, but my cousin did that when some people cancelled at the last minute and he reached his minimum.

First, breathe. We ended up 25 under our minimum and the hall worked with us by adding things in. It all works out. Think of negotiation ideas.

Do you have 50 outstanding RSVPs? Then there is a chance.
Then you can invite co-workers of yours of DH's, neighbors, etc.
Finally, if you are under, talk to your hall, girls here have worked with many halls to get some 'freebies'. Or have them wrap up the dinners! We met our minimum, BUT we had two no-shows and Giorgio's packed those meals for us.

Try to contact all the people that missed the RSVP date. They maybe coming and forgot to send in the card. I know that I am going to have to do this.

We intited about 140 for our minimum of 90. On RSVP day (8/15) we were 18 short... got 8 more yes responses in the first 3 days after RSVP date.
If you still have outstainding, don't worry about it yet..

How many RSVPS haven't you heard from? You'll end up receiving a handful on your RSVP date and the date after.
If you still don't meet the min - talk with the RH - they can usually help by throwing in extra food, chair covers, etc to eat up the cost.

Don't worry! first i would try to contact the people who didn't rsvp, then possibly send out a B list if you didn't invite people...then i would just relax...i was about 12 under my minimum and the hall didn't charge for my chair covers, which was very nice of them. it will all work out

FYI-I think that people are weird and seem to think that the RSVP date is the date to MAIL them back, not get them in by, so you will probably get more!

Don't worry...people don't know how to RSVP! We only had 1/2 our guest list RSVP by the date. Just give people more time to send in their card. You may have to make some last minute calls.

same here! we were 20 below our minimum which was actually fine with me because i talked to my BM about how unhappy i was being under and he said 'dont be sad or upset. we'll work with you'. so they gave me the cordial bar, chair covers, and the mini viennese plates. talk to your BM...remember, they work for YOU!
