I just got my envelopes back from the calligrapher and I am freaking! They are red and were supposed to be with GOLD calligraphy but half of them have silver and it looks so cheesy! I have no idea why she did silver on them! What should I do???

Did you say something to her? I would make her do them over and order you more envelopes!!!! Do you have a contract saying the color?

On the sheet it says GOLD ink. That's what I don't understand! I even took a 'good' one and a 'bad' one outside because I thought it might be the lighting. But it isn't. I am not sure if it is silver or REALLY light gold but it is totally different then the other ones. THey are supposed to go out in 2 weeks! I'll try to post picks...

maybe she realized she messed up and tried to go over the lettering in silver...

Try to return them. Was it on your contract that they were supposed to be all Gold?

She said that she used the same pen and ink on all of them. But because the paper is handmade it took differently on some of them. She said she can go over them and fix them. I hope so...

Yikes!!!
I don't know about going over them either.... sounds messy... I say ask for a discount and don't worry about them looking cheesy, I'm sure it's not so bad and people won't even notice!
