FREAKING OUT - Sandals St. Lucia

Hi Girls...

So my sister just sent me this article and it really freaked me out, seeing as how we're leaving for there on Sunday (11/14):

My friend's brother was at the Regency last week and was supposed to leave on Saturday... but because of the hurricane hitting, he was wasn't able out until super late last night. That was only to Puerto Rico via the small airport on the other side of the island (small planes, 8-seater), then finally another flight back up here. Apparently the main airport on St. Lucia is still closed.

My sister's coworker was also there at the same time, and was told he may not get out of there until Saturday!


I'M FREAKING OUT! We're leaving for St. Lucia a week from Saturday! Any girls going before that have any updates?????

Are you going to a Sandals location? If so I would call them and see if they can have you go to another location... maybe Antigua since the hurricane path is very close to Jamaica right now and that could get hit.

Otherwise... postpone it

Did you buy travelers insurance?

Another bride heard from them today - they are OK and open. Apparently some roads are out, but there are shuttle flights from the int'l airport to closer airports.

I'm sure if you called they'd talk to you about it.

From what our travel agent told us and from what I was reading on there things are pretty much 'normal' at all three of the Sandals.

Just got back from my hurricane honeymoon..the resorts are up and running but the roads are bad. We actually were supposed to fly back Sunday and couldnt get a flight out til Thursday cause the airport was closed. You should be ok by the time u go though!
