Freecycle.org
Does everyone know about Freecyle.org?
It's basically a listserv that you sign up for and you can post things you want (for free) and also things you have to give away (for free). It 's kind of like Craigslist but the only condition is that it has to be free, no fees of any kind. They have groups all over the country but there are Nassau and Suffolk listservs specifically.
People give away exercise equipment, bikes, boats, barely used kids clothes, Christmas decorations, books, toys, you name it. I've never used it but I've heard great things about it.
Just thought I'd share!
