Freeky Sunday!
Ok..so most of you know that my wedding was Sunday afternoon at the Thatched Cottage.
I just wanted to share a FREEKY anacdote about the evening:
So our wedding ended around 5:30pm, and we knew they had another bride coming in...and it was early...so we had to leave, but we didnt' want to just go to the hotel, so we planned an 'after party' at our house. Around 11:30pm, we finally left for our hotel; the Fox Hollow Inn.
As we get out of the car at the Inn, we see a stretched limo/truck pulling in as well, so I say ' oh look! Another bride!' I had already changed out of my dress at that point, but I was carrying 'JUST MARRIED' balloons that my friends had filled our house with.
See the Limo pull up to the door of the hotel, and the bride gets out. I did a double take, because her dress looked like mine!
I say to DH 'OMG! I think she has the same dress as me!' (It's from David's Bridal, so no shame or anything LOL)
DH laughs and we walk to the hotel door. In the loby, my closer inspection confirms that thiis other bride has the SAME dress as I did, only in the White; mine was Ivory.
We laugh about the coincidence, and move on our merry way.
NEXT MORNING: DH surprises me by brining up breakfast from the buffet to the room and sets it all up! (Awww) And begins telling me that he saw that bride again in the loby, checking out.
She had her dress over her arm, so he knew it was her.
He had offered his congradulations to her and the briefly conversed about his also being just married. 'We were at the Thathched Cottage till 5:30' he says.
'WE WERE THERE AT 6:30!!!' she replies.
How uncanny.
Same hall.
Same dress.
same hotel.
Same night.
Freeky!
LOL...but thankfully, my honey had the tact to not say 'OH..and my bride has the same dress as you!' . I told him that most women don't want to hear that!
