Could you please let me know your color combinations and brand (essie, Opi, etc). I want to get a french manicure for a wedding that I will be attending this friday, but I don't like the Pink base. I want a more pink/white-ish base. Can you post pictues too.

I only know of a good pink for French and that's Ballet Slippers by Essie.

Marshmallow and its by essie I think. Its the white on white so its not pink or childish.

I tried the ballet sleepers, but is too 'pink'. I want a base more off white with a small hint of pink. Some one said to combine two colors. Has anyone done this before?

Yes. My friend uses Ballet Slippers and Waltz together.

i love sugar daddy, but that has a little pink tint to it. you could also use east hampton cottage, it's pretty white. not as white as marshmallow though.

I really love Sally Hansen Sheer Romance (it comes in a pack of 2 for a french manicure set). It's more whitish than pink. I love it!

Thank you ladies. I have four different combinations. Do you think they'll try all four for me to decide? I know nail salons usually try 2 diffrent colors for you to decide. I don't want to upset them.

You know what combo is pretty Sugar Daddy by Essie with the white that they use on top for the french. I usually have them put one coat of Sugar Daddy then the line, then the 2nd coat of sugar daddy on top. It looks pretty
