I get my nails painted with the french manicure. The airbrushing looks a little fake. The best looking french manicure is the permanent gel french. It can be alittle pricey but is worth it for a special occasion...no chipping or fading.

does permanent or this gel stuff ruin nails?
i did acrylic once and it made my nails so weak, NEVER again... i have very strong nails and am not a big fan of the upkeep on the acrylic nails type stuff... I prefer something i can just take off...
maybe i will just stick with painted...

painted vs airbrushed nails is just preference, like with airbrush makeup. airbrush will not ruin your nails, but the other stuff will. permanent french is either gel, acryllic or glue and they all ruin your natural nails. ps ive been a manicurist for a while.

i definitely agree that permanent french is the way to go. looks better and lasts longer than airbrush or painting....trust me i've tried it all!

not true
I had my nails airbrushed french for my sister's wedding and it was coming off less than 24 hours later!!
but this was in CA, not sure if it's better in NY

painted looks much nicer!
i got permanent french for my wedding--HUGE mistake! they looked awful but it was too late for me to do anything. they did last through the HM but i took them off as soon as i got home (right after an 11 hour flight!)

You won't have to worry about your nails looking bad on the honeymoon
