What are your favorite polish colors for french? I like Essie Sugar Daddy, Jackie O My, Madamoiselle...the French Manicure colors from Orly (I like 'Rose Colored Glasses') and Color Club's Soft Chiffon.
I don't care what they say about it...I love a french manicure and am rarely without one...but I am always looking for new colors to try!
What are your favorties??

I was just thinking the other day that I need to test drive some color combinations before my wedding manicure!
I like Limoscene-- also Essie...
I also combine colors-- I thin Cabriolet with mademoiselle as the second coat.. was one I used to use

Ohh I'll have to try that. Every time I get fill-ins I'm always trying new colors but then I forget the combinations! I have to start writing them down!

you should try limoscene with sugar daddy as second coat

I love vanity forest( light pinkish with a little sparkle to it). and Marshmellow (creamy white)

HAHA it's so funny to see how we all love the same exact Essie colors. How come nobody can make pink's like Essie can? I have bought so many brands of nail polish that looks like its gonna look like sugar daddy,angel food, and limoscene and then you put them on and they are either translucent or just come out like a completely different color. That reminds me, I need to start getting my nails done again..i cut back a lot but i miss it =( lol.

The one I use from Essie is called Ultamate Destination, yes, Ulta...it was a special edition just for them, so I'm SOL when I run out because they don't make it anymore.

I think Essie has the best colors! i love so many of them. But I notice that it does not last! UGHH!
Does anyone recoment any other brand with the same type of colors as Essie?

I'm boring! I have perm. french so the color is automatic! The plus is minimal drying time...I'm in and out in a half hour!

I've been searching for a color, either a pink or whiteish, thats mostly sheer...you know, the color that makes the white french *pop*?
I think I will try some of you ladies' favorites...Isn't Essie the best??

jchirles, I used to always be a white base french girl (esp. waltz and marshmallow) but now I almost always get pink with white tip (Essie Mademoiselle is my favorite). Marshmallow is too opaque for my preference...whether pink or white I tend toward the more translucent colors. But then again pink is definitely my color, so if you're not so sure, I think white french on brides is lovely. I get my nails done every two weeks so I have lots of time to experiment with different shades before the wedding!

This is my favorite color-- its just enough pink and just enough white!!!!
I forgot-- Baby's Breath-- its a new one i've been trying but DEF East Hampton Cottage is my favorite
