We would love to honeymoon in French Polynesia, leaving on or about 12/12/09. Anyone price this out, or have any clue? Thanks!

Re: French Polynesia Honeymoon?
It will depend on the num$ber of days and type of accommodation- over water bungalow/ garden/ beachfront ect. Airfare alone is a few grand....I've seen girls paying 8 grand and up for 10-14 days. We are going to bora bora for 5 nights, over water and the main island for 2 and then Sydney and Cairns in Australia. We came in around 12 grand. There is a vendor on this site who is very good with this area. Post on the vendors board to get an idea for your dates.
Good luck!

What travel agent did you go through?

Isn't that during their cyclone season? It should be less expensive at that time. Wherever you book, make sure you get travel insurance. It tends to be really hot, humid and rains a lot from Nov. thru Feb. I believe it's their summer... so expect the weather to be similar to Florida's in August....
Good Luck!

I used Travel Tom. We're staying at the Pearl Beach Resort in Bora Bora and the Manava Suie Resoirt in Tahiti. We decided to go with him because American Express has offices in Tahiti and Australia and we felt more comfortable having an actual office to go to.
Travel Escapes by Marique was the other vendor we seriously considered. Great package as well.

Costco Travel has great prices as well. I ended up booking the French Polynesian Cruise directly through Regent but if you're staying on landing Costco had a lot of multi-island packages, travel included.
