I am bringing something for charging my digital cameras and ipod......all hotels have hair dryers though unless you really need your own. I hear there is some sort of a 'razor outlet' in all the bathrooms there that our plugs will work in...but I'm bringing something just in case. Go to radio shack and ask for their help. I think you need a 220 V converter...??? Check on the Tahiti Explorer boards...there are a bunch of posts on this with the correct info on what you need.

i dont think u need one, the hotel provided us with one- that was at the ic hotel..
in moorea at the pearl, they had both- european style plugs and american.

Yes at Thalasso you do need one, they dont have both outlets. Me and DH had to buy it at the gift shop.

we did not buy one, the concierge brought us one. we called the desk and they were happy to bring us one!
Tahiti IC and Moorea Pearl have American outlets. I think we used our converter at BB Pearl.
we stayed at the BB Pearl and the Moorea Sheraton. Both had one US style plug in the bathroom. Each also had a hair dryer in the bathroom.

When we called and ask, they said we have to go to the gift shop, so theres a possibility you might have to buy one.
