Frenchie never should have dropped out of beauty school....

I spoke with a vendor about hair/makeup. Trials are $250 and day of is $500. Have these people lost all sense of reality? I'm not J. Lo; I'm just a bride.

Why did I go to grad school for years? I really just should have gone to beauty school.

I'm serious. I've already spent nearly $800 on trials (5 hair trials; 2 makeup trials). Maybe I should just start direct-depositing my checks in to their accounts.

5 hair trials!!! why so many? do you have pictures of how you want your hair to look? have you tried going to your regualr salon and seeing what they charge? i know its a nice thing to have the person come to the house but if you'd be saving money and the regular salon does a great job it would be worth it.

I don't live on LI, so going to my regular salon isn't an option. The first trial was horrendous. The woman (a vendor here) literally had no idea how to use clip-in extensions. The trial was so bad that I took everything out before leaving because I was mortified to think about going out in public like that. The seond trial was so-so, but the woman was a complete foul-mouthed, lunatic and I couldn't imagine dealing with her on my wedding day. Trial number 3 made me look like Shirley Temple. Trial #4 was good, but it didn't hold up 3 hours after I left. The 5th trial was the winner, but she may have mixed up dates and I'm waiting to find out if she's available.
