Im staying at a Disney resort for the first time (I usually use a timeshare and rent a car). We're trying to decide on renting a car or taking cabs to Universal and SeaWorld. To rent a car for the 2 days it'll cost $150. Has anyone taken a cab off the resort to the other parks? How much was it each way?

I have taken a cab. It was a lot of money but not as much as renting a car. I think it cost like $30 but this was about 8 years ago so I don't know if it would be more. They should have buses that go out. You should ask your resort about it.

I am not 100% but I think they might have buses to seaworld and Universal. You should deff ask about that. I think I remember someone telling me they took a bus. Call your hotel and ask they might be able to tell you.

yeah if you are staying at a disney resort their could be suttles.

I might shop around price-wise. I think you can get a better deal than that....... unless you're renting a luxury car.
I'm always a fan of car rental, just in case you want to go somewhere else.... etc. Cabs can get expensive!

150 sounds high for 2 days. FH and i rented for a week in FL and it was i think 250 (granted we got a bit of a discount cause FH's mom is a travel agent) but check for coupons with different companies.

I have taken a cab to seaworld and universal PLENTY of times and its soooo much cheaper than renting a car ( and less of a hastle) the cab driver will pick you up at your resort and drop you off right in front of the other parks. Just go for the cab

Well its Alamo rent a car cuz its on the Disney site. Its $32 a day plus tax/service charges and then a little more extra because we're under 25.

You can get discounts on everything under the sun through them. Look up rates through AAA..... you may even be able to get discounts at Disney!
