Fresh flowers

Just wanted to share my experience with the roses I received for Valentine`s Day. When they came, they didn`t look so good .. the buds were all closed and looked small .. but they smelled amazing! I thought it was very strange. Anyway, I cut the stems, on an angle, put the plant food into the water, and gently pushed outward on the petals, to encourage them to open. The very next day, the buds were opening. The roses turned out to be the most gorgeous I had gotten in a long time! All the petals peeled back and look like giant red bursts .. and many have opened completely so the inside of the rose is exposed.

Well, it`s now 1 week and 2 days since Valentine`s Day, and they still look awesome, but are starting to show signs they`re past their prime.

My husband ordered these flowers from Pro Flowers, and I highly recommend them! We`ve had a lot of bad experiences with other places .. especially 1-800-Flowers .. whose roses never seemed fresh, and wouldn`t even last a week.

At least with these flowers, I had one day where they didn`t look so good, and nine days (and counting) where they looked great!
