Friday afternoon wedding

I personally would find it to be. I think I would only take off if it was someone I was extremely close with.

What about a thursday night wedding? I know someone who did it and the turn out was great she said.

Would it be a huge inconvenience to have the wedding ceremony at 12 or 1230 followed by the reception, which ends at at 6?

What is the schedule of most people you're inviting? For example...I was originally dead set against anything but a Saturday night because we have so many out of towners (FH's side)- but when we factored in that most of FH's friends/fam are teachers and have off all summer anyway, I was willing to switch to a Friday night in the summer. In their case a Friday day probably would have worked also actually- not for my side though. If it is a small intimate wedding with just close friends and family, it may be OK during the day...if it's going to be bigger I would definitely look for another date/time. Is a Sunday day that much more? If so, what about a holiday? The 4th of July is on a Thursday next year. If you are set on a Friday day maybe that July 5th date would be a good one since most people would probably take off anyway? All that being said though, I would probably still prefer a Friday day wedding over a Thursday evening wedding- that's what works with my work schedule though- I'm sure it's different for others!

Thank you everyone for the input. I changed RH and was able to schedule a Friday night wedding. the dayntime was to inconvenient. I def thought of a thurs wedding but my fiancé didn't like the idea. I am much happier with the Friday night and I am also doing the ceremony at RH which I was unable to do in the other.

Thank you sooooo much!!! The inn at nhp! I can't ever how believe how beautiful it is! As a young girl I used to go there for sweet16s I had no idea how amazing it was after renovations. I can't express how happy I am! I went from having a dreadful destination wedding that no one wanted to attend to what I hope will be the wedding of my dreams! I actually cried tears of joy!

I agree with pixietina. I really dont see what the prob is with taking off wrk when u have plenty of notice. Anyone who wants to be there will!
