I HAVE A QUESTION, ARE YOU HAVING YOUR WEDDING CEREMONY IN THE CHURCH OR LATER ON IN THE EVENING IN THE RECEPTION HALL. IM PLANNING ON HAVING A CHURCH CEREMONY BUT SINCE ITS A FRIDAY I KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE WONT BE ABLE TO MAKE IT BUT IF I DO IT AT MY HALL I CAN HAVE MY CEREMONY AT 7:30 P.M. AND THEN GO INTO COCKTAIL HOUR AND THEN RECEPTION

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
I'm having a 3:30 church ceremony...I figure the people who really are important will take off work/leave early. And if people can't, I understand!
I wanted to have an early church so I could take pictures after and still be at my 7:00 CH. And I personally like Friday weddings better (and it was so much cheaper!)

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
we were gonna have the ceremony at the venue, also at 7:30pm but that meant taking pics before the ceremony and I didn't want FH to see me before the ceremony so we decided to have the ceremony in a church, then pics, then CH

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
We're having a church ceremony at 3pm. Our cocktail hour starts at 7. I already know that many people won't come to the ceremony since it's a friday and during the day, but I wanted to get married in a church so that was more important for me. I wouldn't worry about it too much though bc all the really important people will be there!

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
We had a 5 PM ceremony at the church and the CH started at 8:30 PM. We actually had a lot more people than I expected at the church. The important people will be there regardless.

exactly this except our ceremony is at 4. we knew we were going to sacrifice some ppl not showing up for the ceremony b/c some ppl will be at work but it was a huge price diff b/w a fri and sat wedding.

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
We are having a church ceremony at 3:30pm and our cocktail hour is at 7:00pm. I know my entire family will not miss it and most of my friends will take off. If people can't, they can't... but I am not worried in the least. I believe we will still have a packed church.

My ceremony is from 730-8pm. I am a little concerned about pics bc I also do not want my FH to see me until I walk down the aisle....but will it matter if its dark outside when my photographer takes pics???

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
Our ceremony is at 5:00 and the CH starts at 7:00. We figured the most important ppl will leave work a little early.
But if you want more ppl there then doing it at the RH later is a great idea!
