Re: Friday night ceremonies
I'm pretty sure mine will be a 4 pm service, with a 6:30 start for cocktail hour... I'd prefer to have the 4:30 ceremony start, but the photographer thinks the extra time will give us more time for cocktails and relaxing!

Hi there girl!!!
We have almost the same gap of time. Do you think people are going to be annoyed? What will the OOT people do with the time?
No, I cant have anyone host any sort of party in between - cant afford that!

Re: Friday night ceremonies
3 PM ceremony at Church (not a Mass, so it will be a little shorter) and a 6 PM cocktail hour-and-a-half, with the reception ending at 12. I'm not too concerned with how many come to the Church - that part is for us and our family.
ETA: For the lapse of time in between I have block-booked rooms at a hotel with a nice bar, so I expect any OOT guests can go back there. Also, there's a public bar at the RH, so they can have a drink there too, or stop at any cafe or bar in between the Church and RH. Anyway, I have enough to worry about, I can't get too crazy with that issue!!!

Re: Friday night ceremonies
Ours is at 3:30. Originally it was 5:00 but we wanted more time in between ceremony & reception to take pics, etc.
ETA: My parents plan on having everyone who goes to the ceremony back to their house in between church and reception.

Re: Friday night ceremonies
My ceremony is at 3PM and cocktail hour is at 8PM...we wanted plenty of time to take pictures and not miss any of the cocktail hour. Also, our church is about 45 minutes away from the reception location. The important people will be at church and I'll see everyone else later.

Re: Friday night ceremonies
Mine is at 5pm and I do know there will be a pretty decent crowd because of the family that is out of town coming. My reception is at 7 pm and I will not be attending the CH out of my FH and I's own choice. I figured I'll have my bridal attendant get us drinks and food....The only downfall is that pics will most likely be taken when the sun is going down, or if not already down. Thanks for all the replies ladies. Just wanted to get some insight

Re: Friday night ceremonies
Everyone wants us to have the church when its still ight out...like 3 ish but i want it closer to th eCH time...
I feel that if the church is too early , then noone but family will come to the ceremony and just wait out time untill the CH which is at 7:30
I know that I wouldnt know what to do if i had 4 hours to kill between church and reception if i was a guest

Re: Friday night ceremonies
We are having a 5:00 mass and then the cocktail hours starts at 7. Church is about 15 minutes from Westbury Manor. I hope people come to both! I was nervous about a Fri wedding but FI really prefers them. We shall see!
