some of the women at work today were talking about how reception halls give a discounted price for friday the 13 because brides are supersticious about the date.
would you get married on a friday the 13 and take advantage of the discount or wouldnt even want to touch that date?

I guess it depends on how much of a discount haha! i dont think FH would go for it though, he's ridiculously superstitious! sometimes i think he pulls some of them out of his @$s

I would never have my wedding on a Friday because i have a lot of family in PA who has to travel in. I am getting married on Sat the 13 th though lol

well personally, i could never get married on a Friday bc of OOT and I live in CT.....but if that didn't matter, than I would....13 is my lucky number.

go for it! im italian and 13 id a good luck number for us and it means keeping the evil things away. sort of like the greek eye. i have a bracelet that i wear everyday with the number 13 and the the greek eye!! dont worry if its freaking cheaper go for it!!! good luck

My cousin got married on October 13, 2003 (I think or 2002) and it was a costume party and it was AWESOME. She and the groom were Dracula and Dracula's bride so she got to wear a traditional wedding dress (after the ceremony she put in red contacts and fangs) and he wore a tux with a cape.
So much fun, so I'd totally do it.

I dont belive in the friday the 13th superstition thing. If I didnt have FH family coming in from CT and all my other OOT guests coming then I would def would think of getting married on a friday.

Yeah I brought that up to FH when I thought I may want to do a Friday wedding and I was looking at Friday Feb 13th, 2009. He was like honey... uh No.
