Friday's Awesome Fashion Trend of the Past - Babydoll Dresses

You remember them. Kind of baggy, excessively cute - sometimes coupled with a white fitted shirt underneath and/or combat boots/Doc Martens. Very popular in the 90s - i definitely remember wearing them a TON. ANd I held on to them for YEARS after they went out of style, not sure why I had such a hard time parting with them. A few years ago I gave them to Goodwill

ETA When I thnk of em - I tend to think of Drew Barrymore and Courtney Love.

I remember ones covered in sunflowers with bicylcle shorts underneath So terrible!

OMG me too! I am surprised they haven't made a resurgence - baby doll dress with leggings - clearly that is a match made in fad heaven.

They can't come back now that I am going to be married, cause then I will have to deal with people incessently asking me if I am pregnant which is of course predictably followed by 'so when are you going to start trying?'

The whole reason why I don't even wear empire waist shirts
though pregnant women look super cute in baby doll anything

yeah they do! It is a cute trend. I think no matter what I wear FFIL and FMIL will ask - incessantly. They have already started to attempt bribery and we aren't even married yet

total random side bar:: I say eleventy billion because Goldi brought it up the other day - it's an SNL reference from a Celebrity Jeopardy skit. The guy who plays Spider Man (so drawing a blank now) played Keanu Reeves - who wagered eleventy billion dollars in final jeopardy.

OMG I SO remember that now! hehehe - eleventy = word of the day!

Of course you can borrow them - although I can't be held responsible if you look SO hot that you are accosted by mobs of hot men. I would recommend minimizing the crimping as it would jsut overwhelm those poor guys (I was SO about the crimping, if I wasn't a little TOO old I might attempt a small crimp section for everyday wear for nostalgic purposes - of course I just can't handle the potential ridicule!)

I so used to have a sunflower one! Remeber when colorful Docs were in style. They had a pair of pleather 'vegetarian' ones I SO wanted,but I was too poor
