Which brand do you think is better for a side by side refrigerator? I can't decide. I was also interested in Stainless Steel. Is it worth it?

Re: Fridgidaire, GE or Whirlpool...
we're getting Fridgidaire fridge and stove. fridge is stainless steel and stove is black n stainless steel. it's not the side by side fridge though. ppl turned me away from that one b/c they said it can be a pain when you have to put big stiff in it. (i guess b/c it's a little more narrow??) not positive though.

Just from experience... I have a side by side fridge (not sure of brand, but its a few years old). My mom always told me that there isn't a lot of room in there, but I always wanted it. She was right, I should I have listened to my mom

Re: Fridgidaire, GE or Whirlpool...
I've had experience with 3 different kinds of fridges .. the regular top and bottom, the side-by-side (which is what we have now), and an oldie .. it was sort of the reverse of the top and bottom .. the fridge was the top, and the freezer was on the bottom .. it was a drawer that pulled out .. and believe it or not .. that was really neat.
I can't really say why we ended up with a side-by-side .. I think mainly because hubby wanted the water and ice (cubed, crushed) dispenser. It's a good fridge .. but it's true .. trying to get a fozen pizza box or something wide like that into the freeze can be tricky. But seriously .. for our lifestyle .. it's perfect .. and I'm not disappointed with our decision at all .. I like our fridge .. it's a GE .. 'Eterna Series'
The armoir-style fridge looks really interesting .. but that came out after (I think) we made our purchase .. it may have been something we would have gone for.
