Things heat up for friends and lovers, who travel to Barbados for a paleontology seminar in the ninth-season finale.
For keynote speaker Ross, it means a chance to steal time with Charlie (Aisha Tyler), who offers to help rework his big speech and ends up reevaluating her romance with Joey. At the same time, Monica makes a frantic move to derail David's ill-advised proposal to Phoebe; and Rachel gets an unexpected reaction when she tells Joey just how she feels about him. Of course, the Central Perk posse will be back next year, so romantic allegiances could change once again...especially after someone catches Ross in a compromising position
