From London to NY, please help!

Hi, I am from London and hoping to get married in NCY in May 2012 with approx 55 guests. Travel arrangements can be done later but I would really like to the ceremony and reception booked asap.
Ideally a kind of rooftop terrace for the ceremoney (230 5th / Roosevelt rooftop bar, in the heart Manhatten so all our friends and family have a real feel for the city) and a lively but ok for all reception (we both have our Nan's coming!)

If anyone can recommend a planner who can accomodate what we are after I would really appreciate it.

We have been in touch with a few but one keeps pushing Top of The Rock ceremony, which is nice but just not what we are going for and then not really keeping coming back with any info on our actual requests. Are we too early to get it nailed down for 2012?

I'm not sure about a planner because I don't have one, but from the looks of it Tribeca Rooftop sounds like it might be a place for you to check out! It looks gorgeous!!

And I don't think its too early for you, especially since you are coming from so far away!

I second Tribeca rooftop.. though it may be a little big for your party. Here are some more ideas:

- rooftop at the Empire Hotel
- Plunge at the Gansevoort Hotel (Meatpacking district)
- Gramercy Park Hotel (beautiful)
- Top of the Strand (Strand Hotel)
- mad46 (Roosevelt Hotel).

All are beautiful and I think more of what you're going for. HTH!!!!!!
