i am having an issue it seems that alot of catering places dont want a dj or dancing and when i ask for a menu they send ma a buffet menu does anyone have any suggestions its for my birthday

What exactly are you looking for? How many people, price range, what type of food, etc?

its a formal affair sit down(no buffet) witth dj/dancing about 50 people maybe more ittalian food or any other food the budget is 1700 and i would charge my guests per plate since i shouldnt pay for my own party

You may be able to do that at the Milleridge carriage house. They have non-wedding affairs there, such as Sweet 16s & corporate events.
You may also be able to do it in a hotel with banquet rooms.

i have been trying search but its hard and then the time thing is the prob i wanted lnger than 4 hrs 4 hrs goes sooo fast i will contact the milleridge place
