Frustrated about my stemware selection

Frustrated about my stemware selection

Some of you know I have a part time job at the Macy's Bridal Registry dept in Roosevelt Field Mall. While I was being shown all the stockrooms, I saw my crystal stemware, and pointed it out. The lady showing my around said I should rethink my choice, when asked why she said b/c it has a tendency to shatter and break easily.

I have registered for the wine glass, goblet and iced beverage glasses of Mikasa Stephanie. I have received all 10 wine glasses so far. I am not sure what to do. I see myself getting a decent amount of use out of these glasses esp. the iced beverage ones.

Now, I need to decide ASAP if I will change the pattern and exchange the glasses I have (which were bought @ Macys) or just deal with it.

FH is no help, he says 'Do whatever will make you happy'. But if I change the pattern I have NO idea what to get. I want a pattern that has an iced beverage glass, I love that piece!!!

Any suggestions?!?!?!

TIA!!!

I like them. I think they look nice with your china. If that is what you picked out and what you like I would stick with it. Just wash them by hand.

IMO, ALL crystal shatters easily. my mom once told me that the easier something breaks, the more expensive it is. lol

keep what you like!

This is my pattern too and I love it! My sister actually registered and has the same but with a platinum trim.

The bottom line is,...it is glass and you need to treat it accordingly. It is not very thin, if i can recall,it is pretty average. My sisters shower was in 2001 and they have been okay so far. I'm sure if there were many complaints about them the pattern would not have been around for so long....they probably would have been discontinued.....

I say keep them!!!

Hmmm, no offense but the people working in the stores are not the best sources for 'advice' since she told you the obvious. That crystal shatters easily. Yup, huge news! Girl, stop stressing yourself!! It's beautiful, has the pieces you love and you love it. So treat it with care...all crystal shatters!

And when are we meeting? I have your slip...girl I'm out in 2 weeks!!
