Sorry you are having so many problems... that reallly stinks.
Maybe you guys just have too much going on and you need to re-evaluate where your energies need to be directed.
Of course everyone wants the wedding of their dreams- but maybe you should be concentrating getting out of there and finishing school- so both you and FH and kids can have some type of sanity.
It's no good for you all to be lumped up together living in this situation with all this tension- if you feel the way you feel- imagine how your KIDS feel in this situation.
Maybe you all should just find someplace that is your own and take things slow- maybe elope now and plan big later?

I am sorry about the tough time and hope everything works out... i would never put myself in that position
i was just telling FH that i will never live under the same roof especially since we just had a disagreement

up until now we have gotten along extremely well and i felt like part of the family but i would never live under the same roof because of problems that could arise

i think you would be better off on your own and much happier

Re: Frustrated and Furious

Thats horrible

Unfortunately, you can only pick your friends and not family.

Maybe if you talk to your hall you can move you date to a later time like 07 or 08 and work on the most important stuff.

Its sounds like such a struggle to be @ that house, best of luck to you.......hope you get it all sorted out soon.

Sorry that your year is starting off this way.

Re: Frustrated and Furious

I know exactly what your all saying, believe me I thought about all of this before we even started planning anything. It just seemed like this would've been the best time to do it since there was no way to move out on one income so I could've saved all the money in the world(we have the money to move)it's just once we move being that Im going to school and again the one income it's impossible to pay $2000 a month for rent. So we figured if we didn't touch the money to move and payed for the wedding we were still stuck her for 6months to a year after that until I can go to work and we can have two incomes coming in. So believe me when your in the situation we are in you can evaluate and reevaluate your situation again and again and never find the ultimate answere this one just seemed to make the most sense right now. Like I said I would have to send the two big ones to fla. to be able to afford a smaller apt. on one salary. Also as far as the kids, believe me it kills me to know that they are uncomfortable and my kids always come first but for those that dont have and Im not being defensive here(since you can't hear my tone)sometimes unfortunatly things wind up beyond your control. We took the opportunity to move them out here because the inlaws offered them their own room and because I thought it was better education wise then the school they were attending in the city. Who knew senility would set into these people so soon. Thank you though when I wrote this last night I was just looking to blow off steam. Thanks again I do appreciate all your thoughts, unfortunetly you'd have to live this mess to try to make sense of it I think.

Sorry you're going through all of this...maybe, even though it would hurt, you should elope, and use wedding $ for an apt. then, down the road you could have a great big anniversay party, like a wedding. Somehow day to day seems more mportnat. Good thing is your love and dedication to each other is so strong that you are not letting them interfer with the two of you.

Oh my God!!!! What is up with these people. They called the police because they are angry with you guys?

I have to agree with everyone else. I know we have discussed this before (in laws) but I think you guys should move out with the wedding money. The situation sounds like it can only get worse since your FMIL is not even accepting money for the bills (but complaining about them being high). Sounds like she just likes to complain and be miserable - no place to be for kids or stress free wedding planning.

No you misunderstood, they didn't call the police(although you never know ) we heard a comotion outside the house and when we went upstairs to look outside their were police outside and an ambulance. My in(nuts)laws came down to see what was going on.

We thought this too but again, because of the one income it's impossible. We have the money to move and even without the wedding expenses there is no way to make a rent for a 3/4 bedroom. We've been looking for over a year and alot of people unfortunatly turned us down because we have 4 kids. It's said when rent is more expensive than a wedding.

Re: Frustrated and Furious

We talked about it today and when we have the money to go we will leave. FH is going to ask for night work at his job and maybe a day on the weekend. I'll have to see if something doesn't workout for him work wise then I'll try to find something pt. at night(wont leave me much time to study)but we are also going to look at an apt. in Islandia tommorow that we may be able to afford and so far nothing was said by landlord about the kids not being okay. Does anyone know about the area? We'll see Im sure now that the initial shock has worn off things will come together. Thanks again though

Re: Frustrated and Furious

parts of Islandia are ok, just make sure it is not CI school district. (not good at all)
