Frustrated w/ hair/make-up!

Just wondering if anyone else can commiserate, lol. I am frustrated at having to pay for all of these trials, showing pictures, but not getting what I want. I feel like I am always walking out dissatisfied and it is nothing like the pictures. And I keep having to pay for all of this trial and error!

Grrrrr!

I am very close to just doing it myself. I've watched some tutorials online and I have been practicing and I think I can pull off the look I want.

TELL me about it!!! for some RIDICULOUS reason i paid 250 dolllars for a makeup trial yesterday. i have no idea why i did it, because i don't remember AT ALL hearing that it was going to cost that much and then when i got there that's what she asked me to pay....and it wasn't even nice!!! so i'm 250 dollars down (granted that was TOTALLY my fault for being an idiot and not paying attention) and still have no makeup

This is my thought... it your FACE so you have to be like obsessively almost offensively oppinionated about what you LOVE and what you HATE... like just do not be shy when you go in and say...ohh...uhh... i sort of like...etc...

not saying you are, but I mean give graphic details about how you normally do your makeup what you like to focus most on, etc. In my last makeup trial I basically grabbed the brush and did my own lip lining, etc. b/c that's just something when done not the way you like it will totally peeve you when you leave.

Learning as we go along here, but you can always just tell a makeup artist to just do your eyes or just do certain things and other things yourself.

definitely try Christy Ann Cosmetics..I've sent so many brides to her & have gotten all positive feedback. She's awesome at what she does but is great to work with at the same time She did trial for my E-Pics both trial & Epics are in albums don't give up yet!! good luck!

OMG I used sachiko yanase and literally the trial lasted UNTIL you were happy - she did about 10 hair styles on me and three makeup styles. . and I loved them all but she just wanted to try different things on me - she was so wonderful. . i was there for literally 2.5 hours!

I totally know how you feel. The first trial I went on was suppose to be $50 and by the time I left it was $90 and I HATED it (I took the makeup off as soon as I left the place because I was embarrassed to walk around in it) the Second trial I had (at a totally different place) wasn't as bad but I hated it. That trial was suppose to be $65 but by the time I left I paid over $100. When I explained what I wanted both make-up girls said no problem they knew exactly what I was talking about and could def give me what I wanted. Well they didn't. They did the complete opposite.

Finally, I went to Andrea at Lolalovesmakeup and told her what I wanted and she did it perfect, exactly what I asked for. Andrea is so sweet and knows her stuff. I hightly recommend her. Like I said I had two bad experiences and was going to give up (because like you I didn't want to pay any more money on trials that I hated, it started to get expensive) but decided to have one last trial. I'm so glad I did. I hired her on the spot. The best part is her trial was only $35!! That's all I paid too, no hidden fees like the other trials.
