frustrated with wedding planning
I never vent - but in the past couple of days i have gotten price quotes for flowers both around $10,000 - i can't imagine spending that much money on flowers- they are really good silk so they won't die but stilleverything seems so expensive for one day - i would rather take the money and buy a house or plan a family - it is spiraling out of control - i do not have time to plan - and the wedding planner i picked is not that helpful to me
thanks for letting me vent - i just want to elope and make this easier

Re: frustrated with wedding planning
wow - imo - 10k is way too much for silk flowers. and i hear you, we are only planning on spending aboout 25k on our wedding, and that seems like soooooooo much. ask yourself, is it really worth it to you to spend that type of $$ on flowers. hang in there and hopefully it will work itself out.

Re: frustrated with wedding planning
The Bourne does not need that much decorating... Why is the price so high? who are you getting quotes from?

Re: frustrated with wedding planning
there is nothing wrong with eloping!! do what you want. I felt me and DH spirling out of control, and I wanted to spend 2 years saving for a house, not a party, so we had a small wedding, 100 people, simple flowers, no CH. We had a great time, only planned wedding for 6 months, and now we are debt free with money towards our house. Sometimes it is just too much. DH and I don't argue at all either, when we were in our first stages of wedding planning, it was one argument after another. It is an important day, but it is only one day, and it is what you make of it. HTH

Re: frustrated with wedding planning
it is from Dasilmer and Flower Michelle - and it is not that many arrangements - but they are very good quality silks - i am not using silks to save money but because i have severe allergies -i do have 6 people on my side and 20 centerpieces that i need but still it seems insane to me
plus i have to have some decorations for the church

Re: frustrated with wedding planning
Oh, so you have to use silks? I did not price those so I am not sure if your quotes are good or not, but you can do a lot with candles and can possibly reduce the centerpiece sizes?Welcome New Vendors
