we hardly ever talk to her but she just emailed FH saying 'hey, just a reminder that it's my daughter's birthday on sunday' That's the most she's said to us since she complained about how our shuttle service at the wedding is inconvenient for her. It's 9 days until our wedding and she hasn't said NOT ONCE that she's excited for the wedding or anything of that sort. But come on.. 9 days left, you haven't spoken to us in so long and you can't even say 'can't wait to see you soon!'? or how about 'i'm excited for your wedding.. or how are things going?' maybe i'm overreacting but my family is nothing like that. they are so supportive and they ask us how we are and how the planning is going and if we need any help. All she says is to remind us to send birthday money to her kid. Fine ,we love the kid so I'll definately do it. But I'm not looking forward to her staying over during the wedding! ahhhhh.. thanks for the vent...

So sorry she is still annoying you... She will as long as she see that she is... I wouldn't give her the satisfaction. I would just answer her 'Ok', or ' I remember'... Please tell me she didn't ask for birthday money for her kid...That is beyond tacky.. Like you wouldn't give a gift.. Shows her lack of class. Congrats on your upcoming wedding...Focus on that, and don't even give her a second thought....

Thanks girls! It's so helpful to be able to vent and get support. I don't know why she hates her family and treats us like we're a stick up her ***. FH says she's just always been like this and you'll only be on her good side if you're not family. I have to learn to just brush it off cause she's not worth it.
