FSIL drama

Sooo last night I told FSIL that MOH and a BM and I are going BM dress shopping next month and invited her to come....

she thinks bm dresses costs around 400/500 and told me im crazy for thinking they cost around 200 (before fittings)

is FSIL right are they around 400/500?

400-500?? I have NEVER spend that much.. EVER!!!!!!!

i picked out a bill levkoff dress that is $195... I am getting a discount for the girls because I ordered my DRESS THERE.... so it came to like $175-ish.. and then the alterations are capped at $85.....

maybe some really expensive dresses but most fall into range of $155-$200 or so plus alterations which are capped at a certian price. I think BM dress i will wear next month is $250 with alterations.

You can get really nice dresses for under $200. There are some that can go up as high as $1000. But on average $200-300.

I thought so! she gave me a heartattack last night because I could never ask my bms to spend that much on a dress!!!

She doesn't know what she is talking about and I hate when people argue things they know nothing about..... There are soooooooooo many dresses for less than that. IMO its crazy to ask my bridesmaids to spend 400-500 on a dress only for my wedding.

it sounds like your SIL might be a haterrrr, hopefully she doesn't give you any trouble during your planning process.

OMG 400-500 is insane. I've never spent that on a BM dress and I've been in sooooooooo many BPs!! I would say people usually pay $150-250 -- some might be even 300 but i've never heard of a bride making her BMs order a $400 dress
