The other day I posted she is waiting for her orders. Well she got them and she is leaving for 176 days in June so she will be back either right after the holidays or right before. I feel its petty that Im upset that she isnt coming to our wedding and that was my first thought. But I am upset she is going over there the good part is she is going to the non-hostile part wherever that is. FH and I are still worried about her though.

Re: FSIL is going to Iraq
I think it is normal to feel upset. Although she is doing a wonderfully heroic thing she is still not going to be with you and your FH on your big day.
I'm sorry she won't be there.
Prayers for her safe return

i think it's sweet that you're upset by her not being at your wedding ... shows that you really like her

I'll keep her in my prayers. And don't beat yourself up. It's normal to react like that. It doesn't detract from how you feel about her or your concern for her well being...

Re: FSIL is going to Iraq
Two of my sisters have been to Iraq. One as an airforce medic and the other as a air-national-guard medic (who did two tours in Afghanistan before that). One way to deal with it is putting together care packages. The US postal service sends pacakages over there for SUPER cheap so maybe just send her some stuff from the wedding, some girly stuff etc. I'm sorry for you and your FH's family. She will be home before you know it!!
