My FSIL is driving me crazy!!!! She's complaining how much everything is costing and she doesn't know how she's going to afford it. She wants to have my bridal shower at my sisters (which I don't want since I had my e party there) plus my sister is going through a separation so who knows where she will be in a few months. All I asked for is a bridal shower at a place where it can be catered. FSIL didn't even pay for her bm's dress, her mother did and she was complaining about gas. I did not tell you to move to Rochester. If it is too expensive than don't be a bm. Or how about you don't go away every weekend and stop shopping in all the name brand stores if money is so tight. I hate to break it to her but this is Long Island and things are more expensive than upstate.

Do you have a MOH? Maybe you should hint that the bridal shower should be taken over by someone else? Sorry to hear you're going through this....we just told my FSIL's about the engagement today (I wanted a little peace and quiet before they started with their crap). I'm just at the beginning of my planning, but I know there will be many of battles I will have to fight or back down from the next year or so......I think that because the shower is such an important part of this process, it's deff a battle worth fighting.

She's not even in charge of it. One of my maids of honor is handling it and told me I have nothing to worry about but I don’t want me or fh to have to deal with her complaining.
