Beach Place is a lot of fun There are open air shops and restaruants, bars, great nightlife esp on weekends. We also loved butterfly world. it was a little pricey ($16 pp) but we thought it was worth it.. butterflies, hummingbirds and other birds. It's a great place for picture taking. There's also the Sawgrass Mall in Plantation-Sunrise which is this enormous mall. The hotel we stayed at (the Crowne Plaza Sunrise) was right across the street from there. We hotwired it for $46/night and it was incredible. We didn't make the drive to miami, but depending where you are I think it's about a 30-45 minute drive... Have fun!

Thank you! It's my first time going there, we hotwired it too, for the airfair and hotel 5 nights, it was $300 bucks for each of us

If you are thinking of coming here either this month or early next month.

It's hurricane season - I live in SOuth Florida and it has been raining here for days.

Miami is not even 30 minutes away. I just got back from Miami and flew home from Fort Lauderdale.
