Full Tier Cakes?

Full Tier Cakes?

So my family and I were talking about how I would have my cake done. They wanted to know if we were going to have 2 tiers that were fake and one tier that is actual cake, then have a sheet cake in the back cut, or if we are doing all tiers real cake. I'm still not sure what we are doing, was wondering what everyone else is doing?

I am not sure yet, but you should took to your bakery. Sometimes it isn't that much cheaper to do a sheet with fake tiers. An advantage of a sheet is that the RH can have the cakes already sliced and ready for service- if you have all your tiers with real cake it will take a little time before the cake is actually served. I heard that its not cheaper by much at all b/c what costs the most money is decorating the cake.

I asked my baker the same question and he said that the cost is pretty much the same because they would still have to decorate the cake whether it's actual cake or not .. so we decided to go with cake for all the tiers.

If you're a Land's End bride your cake should be included and from Audry's. No worrys there - they are awesome! And I think you might even have a free fondant upgrade. All real cake, all super yummy!

I am going with tiers then. We haven't met with Audrey's yet, but I hear good things. Thanks girls.

Between Audrys and Lands End you have NOTHING to worry about......they are fantastic and will get everything out in time and it will taste great!

We just ordered our anniversary cake from them...same flavors that we had at our wedding...can't wait to eat it......YUM!

Good to see someone who actually got married at LE. Thanks for the info. I went with LE not only because we love locale, the food they offer, but also that trusting feeling I got when I met with them.
