Fun bar in the city for Bachelorette party??

Hi everyone!

This saturday is my bach. Party. We are heading into the city for dinner, then to Brother Jimmy's for a little bit. I was wondering about some fun bars (no clubs) somewhere in the city for some drinking and dancing after that. I am clueless when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Thanks!

which R Bar are you talking about... the one in brooklyn? I like right there, i know the owner.. we go there all the time and always have a blast! If it's a different one though than i don't know..lmao.

Trailer park lounge is def. fun. and arelen's grocery does 80's rock karaoke. i know it used to be monday's where people would go in full costume somtimes..lol. but you can check it out!

even if u don't like clubs, culture club is awesome.. they play 80's music of all kinds and the set up is pretty cool. Def. a great spot for a bachelorette party.

we usually have a good time at 'Off the wagon' in the village.. haven't been there in awhile though...but there used to be a great mix of music and drinks were reasonable.

we went to the slipper room once for a BP and had a great time.. they do a burlesque show on some nights and have a DJ on others...

If i think of more i'll post.. HTH

Metro 53 is really fun!

They play fun mid 90s dance music! Like Shake Your Rump and all that...

I just hosted a bachelorette party. Here was our itinerary:

Dinner at Mangia e Bevi - This place is great! You dance on the tables and the waiters come around to all the brides to be.

Kanvas - Kanvas is a casual lounge and the bartender is hot We got there around 10ish before it really got crowded. Chatted it up with the hottie, had a few drinks, and were on our way.

The Park- Next stop was supposed to be the Park, but there was already a line before 11. Skipped it for the b-party, but I have been there before. Good times.

Red Rock West - Think Coyote Ugly with the girls on the bar. We danced on the bar and had a great time.

Gaslight- It's in the meatpacking district, but much more casual than some of the other places. Closed out our night here.

Other places we considered:

naked lunch
fiddlesticks
village tavern
calico jacks
brother jimmys

Have fun!!

ETA: If the previous poster means R bar on bowery, make sure you put your party on the list and you get there early. There is typically a long line. If you do go, make sure you go in the back with the stripper pole!!

Hey, Which Brother Jimmys are you going to? Depending on which one, I can suggest a few places to go around that area. I tend to like the one on the Upper West Side. 420 and the Gin Room are right there and there are a million bars and lounges on Columbus right there...

Hope I can help!

Thanks everyone!!

I'm going to research all these places and tell them where I think I may want to go.

We are going to Brother Jimmys on the East side, I believe.
