fun fact of the day 1/27/2010

did you know the combination lock i use for the gym is the first and only one ive bought

i bought it with my mom at models for my freshman year of JHS
sept of 1987
i was only 11 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3weeks later i turned 12 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IM OLD !!!!!!!!!! LOL

can you tell i dont want to work today

I have one, cuz I don't wanna work either .
So, I have a gold necklace with a big and small heart intertwined that my mom bought me for my 16th bday. I never take it off b/c it marked the beginning of our really close relationship. When she gave it to me, she jokingly said 'you can give it to your daughter some day.' At 16 I was like, eww, no kids for me!! Now, my daughter is 10 years old and she wants to wear it this year for her elementary school graduation.
I think I'm old too!

When I was in elementary school, I had a library card to our public library. Well over the years, technology progressed and the cards changed. I still remember the last four digits of my first card and still use it to this day as a password to some of my stuff! That was 17years ago

That is SO nice!!

We were going through all of the paperwork for the church Birth Cert, Baptismal, etc. Here is what we found

- FH paternal grandfather has the same middle and last name as my dad
- FH maternal grandmother has the same maiden name of my grandmother (dads side)
- My dad and FIL have the same middle name
- FH niece and I have the same birthday
- FSIL and my brother have the same birthday
- FMIL and my great grandmother have the same birthday

I freaked out at first and thought we were related is some very weird way, but we're not.

ha same here - bought mine in jhs and still use it for the gym, etc. never once forgot the combo - it's in my brain forever!

I can't eat in the dark if it's food that I did not prepare myself.

For example, if FH and I grab take-out and eat it while watching a movie, the lights must be on. I have to see what I'm eating. I need to make sure that there's nothing gross in it.

But if I cooked something myself, I'm cool with eating in the dark.

It used to irk FH, but he's so used to it now.

Kinda copying Rosalind... I remember the combination to my first locker (6th grade so '95/'96) it was locker 943 and my combo was 43, 17,39... reason I remember
locker 943, take the 43, it was in between rooms 217 and 219 (my class room) so the 17 (off 217) then if you switch around the #s on the locker you'll see there's a 39.

after I left the school for 9th grade I went to visit, not only do they recycle the combos (did I mention they are the built in locks) so the kid had my old locker.. but he remembered the combo the EXACT same way... and he had a problem opening it ALL the time, so I taught him if you hit it in a certain spot as you were turning to 39 that it would open.
