Fun Snack Ideas

I am having cousins over tonight for a get together. i am not ciooking dinner- besides chips and dip and coffee and cake what else can i serve? finger foods? ideas please!!

target has their brand mozz sticks----OMG they are DELISH!!! we just discovered them last week.. we bought a small box, attacked it so I went and bought a big box for about $2.00 more. (um.. $6.00 total)

besides that..

I'm known for my chili-dip or taco dip.

chili dip:
what you need:
hormel chili (I like it with meat)
8oz cream cheese
grated cheddar cheese
(oven safe) casserole dish or baking pan

what to do:
preheat oven at 350
spread CC in pan
spread chili over CC
sprinkle ched cheese over chili
bake aprox 20 min, until cheese is melted

serve with tortilla chips

taco dip:
what you need:
refried beans
sour cream
lettuce
ched. cheese
tomato (optional)
cucumber (optional)
olives (optional)
basically any veggi you'd put in a salad (optional)
pan (does not need to be cooked)

what to do:
spread beans in pan
layer sourcream
finely chop lettuce
sprinkle lettuce over sourcream
finely chop optional veggies
sprinkle over lettuce
sprinkle ched cheese over top

serve with tortilla chips.

Texas Caviar is always a winner for my friends and family!

2 cans of black-eyed-peas (with Jalapenos if you can find them, if not, you might want to add a little diced jalapeno)
1 10-oz can rotel – I use the original/medium
2 avocados, diced
1 small green serrano pepper, diced
½ red onion, diced
¾ cup zesty Italian dressing
1 TBS lime juice
¼ tsp of salt or as necessary

Just throw it all together and you’re good to go. Probably give it a bit of time in the fridge before serving.

i would just get chinese

chicken rollups!

crescent rolls (2 pkg)
chopped chicken (you can get the perdue grilled strips and just chop it up
1 cup chopped onion
1 pkg cream cheese
1 can sliced mushrooms
crushed bread crumbs or dry stuffing or crushed corn flakescream of mushroom soup

combine chicken, onion mushrooms, and cream cheese to make filling

roll out the crescents and separate them as if you were making the actual rolls. (stretch them a little bit)
put a spoonful of filling and roll up making sure the sides are all sealed
roll in cream of mushroom soup, then dip in breadcrumbs
please on baking sheet and cook for alloted time on the instructions for baking crescent rolls

they are sooooo yum, and really easy to make and filling!
