Fun things to do at the reception?

Fun things to do at the reception?

We're having a somewhat casual picnic-style reception at a county park in September. There will be about 100 guests and it's going on during the day -- between approximately 12:30 and 6:30pm. There will be very few kids (family only) and dancing. But I want to make things fun for people, aside from the regular 'eat, talk, cut the cake, dance.'

Anyone have any fun, inexpensive ideas? Things that do not require a lot of extra maintenance, either. I'm thinking of stuff along the lines of, like, giving each table a piece of paper and some craft items and having them make a page of my wedding scrapbook. I want things that will fill the time and be fun and interesting and get people mingling and match the mood of the picnic reception.

Ideas? Anyone? What did you do?

Thanks!! :D

I saw one bride do a 'Scavenger Hunt' Picture List.

It was a creative list of things to look for and take a picture of at the wedding. It looked so fun!

You could have a book with pictures of you and your guests in it from multiple occasions, and on the book people could write 'comments' on each picture that describe what was going on, or how much fun they had in each picture. It could be a low-tech 'Facebook' that you could keep as a coffee table book.

I love the scrapbooking page idea, it might be something I'll steal and work into our engagement brunch
