Fun topic that I could use your help with.

Original post by Misty

Little project I'm working on!

Can you name out of the ordinary cover versions of upbeat songs? Something like Alien Ant Farm doing the Michael Jackson song 'Smooth Criminal'? Or Britney Spears doing the Rolling Stones, Van Halen doing 'Happy Trails'...stuff along those lines?

Can't wait for your responses!

Okay, a really old one...
That song 'Puttin' on the Ritz' from way back when was actually a remake of an even older song.
I know, it's a little out there, but it's all I could think of!

I was in Old Navy -34th St the other day and they had the BEST cd - it was a CD of people doing upbeat cover songs and then it sort of blended into the old version! I wanted to ask them where I could buy it but it was too busy.

Wasn't the first Cut is the deepest originally a Cat Stevens song? (Redone by Rod Stewart, and again redone by Sheryl Crow.)
