fun ways of asking ppl to be in your bridal party

Does anyone have any suggestions for a unique way to ask friends/family to be our bridal party?

I sent my girls 'will you be my bridesmaid' cards. I had actually already asked them all the day after we were engaged but I sent them anyway as a little formal thing. There was a post on here with a cute poem to write inside the card. Let me try to find it.....

I saw those cards being advertised in a magazine and I've been trying to find it but haven't so far. Where did you order yours from? I already asked my BM but I think this would be so nice to do for them as well and make a little formal as well. I was even thinking of doing them and had found a template at the knot. Would you please be kind to let me know where you got yours. Thanks!!!

Since my FI proposed using the little engagement angel (see avatar) and my parents had bought us the bride and groom ones for the day we did get engaged, we kind of used that as our theme.

WHen we had our engagement party, we gave all the girls the bridesmaid angels, and the guys all good groomsman keychains. We put them into white bags with red tissue paper and made little stickers with their names on it, and the saying 'We'd love for you to be part of our special day!' Everyone loved them and it was a nice way to acknowledge them.

I was looking for something along those lines...I was thinking of making them myself. Like this one.....but probably will buy those instead....Thanks again..

These are the ones that I made. I got all of the materials, including the dresses, from Michaels.

Since all my girls don't live near each other, I knew a lunch or something wasn't going to happen. Instead, I used a poem from here, bought double frames from Kohl's and put a picture of the person and me on one side, and the poem on the other. All the girls liked it very much and thought it was a great way to be asked.

I can't take credit for the poem. Someone else on here posted it and I loved it so much.

It's:

It's hard to believe in just a little while
_________ and me will be walking down the aisle.
And nothing would give me more joy and pride, then to have you right there by my side. Will you be my bridesmaid?

Thanks, the cookie was a cute idea. Has anyone ever given a book? Someone suggested a children's book with a poem in it, but I don't know any suitable books....

I was thinking of making the cards as I think it will be even more meaningful. Maybe I will try to make them. I like the ones you did Nancy.

I sent each girl a dozen long stem white roses with a note asking them to be in my bridal party and I sent the FG Sesame Street cookies!

Thank you soooo much LovelyL! I just ordered the Will You Be My Bridesmaid and Will You be My MOH cards!!! I was going to make something myself, but they were so cute! I may also give each girl a little something extra, like flowers? The cookies were also cute, too! Thanks again!
