Has anybody ever set up a fundraiser? I would really like to set something up to raise money for Parkinson's Disease Research, but I really have no idea where to start... I don't have a lot of extra money lying around since I'm getting married soon, so I want to do something that will not be a huge expense, so I was thinking a walk a thon or something.... Anyone have any ideas or how to start this?? TIA!

I have noticed that alot of Brides here are doing donations in place of favors at the wedding. they are using the money they would have spent on favors, and donating it to a charity of choice, and leaving a nice note about it and why the charity is dear to them. That is definitely an option to get a start on your donation to Parkinson's. And maybe more people at the wedding will donate as well!!
