so fmil tells me yesterday about how i can buy thongs with messages on them...now im nodding my head thinking ok i cant believe this until she goes so when u walk in the sand a message comes up...thats when i realize she is talking about flip-flops and im an idiot

I don't get why they call them thongs. LOL. I always think of the undies when older people say 'thong' in the flip flop term. I think thongs were invented in the 90's so that's why a lot of older people call flippies thongs.
