Funny invited guest story

Our invites went out last week and I get a call last night from someone with a name I recognize as an invited guest (gotta love caller ID)

FMIL gave me a list of ppl (most of which I don't know) and this little old lady lives is in MD.

She says 'i got your wedding invitation.... congratuations..but I don't know who you are and why I'm invited'... so I'm naming FHs family names and she still has no clue

So she goes on to say that usually she is invited with her husband, but the invition says 'and guest'...So I'm thinking -oh crap - i screwed up.

Well- I call FMIL and she says its FH's grandmother's good friend who she has know for like 30 years and she should know who FH is- hah

Then I tell her about the 'and guest' and FMIL says..why would she be invited w/ her husband- he died years ago.

So FHs g-ma will call the lady and fill her in..lol

I just got a kick outa it and thought i'd share

awww cute little old lady!!!

But does she have alzheimers because she said why wasnt she invited with her husband even though he has since passed/?!!! poor thing

but so funny and cute.

thats what i thought too, but aparently not

then fmil was like..hhmm- unless she got remarried within the last 6 months...lol

she was cute though- she said 'oh- i know in going to eb so embarassed when I realize who it is'
