Funny story...

So I got home from Josh's to find that the lid on the hamster cage was half off.

i freaked out... searched the cage... no hamster...

so i looked at my cat... i had to figure if he ate it, there would have been blood somewhere...i dont know if the cat can eat the hamster whole or whatever...

so i'm still freaking out..

then i hear a little shuffling of plastic...like someone is taking the wrapper off a candy or something..

AND I FIND THE HAMSTER IN HER FOOD BAG!

How she got there, i'll never know *it's like 8 inches off the ground*... but at least shes safe in her cage now.

Awwww, that is super cute. I used to have hamsters and they got out all the time. I think their main mission in life was to get out of their damn cage!!

I'm so glad that your hamster didn't meet the same fate that my hamster (and your biggest fear) did long ago.

My mom told us when we were little that the hamster was chased out of the house by the cat and that she could only catch the cat. So my sister and I searched for days outside for our hamster. Years later, when my mom felt that we were old enough to know the truth, told us that the cat actually had eaten the hamster and that my mom found little bones that the cat left behind

At the point when my mom told us the truth we were both in our twenties and were upset about it but had to laugh at the elaborate story she told us about the cat chasing the hamster out of the house.

Hamsters have a way of getting out of the cage and burrowing into places we wouldnt think of!
