Funny story Yankee fans would appreciate about me, my dad and my FH
FH and I met during the 2003 Yankees playoffs with Boston...
Well, I had tickets for Game 7 at Yankee Stadium. This guy, Joe, who I met two weeks earler and just went on my first dates with, just assumed I would take him if the Yankees got to that game. Well, sorry dude... I just met you. How do I know if you'll be around in a month? My FATHER is my one and only Yankee Compadre and always will be. Soooo... when the Yanks and Boston got to that game... I took my DAD. THAT was the game when Aaron Boone hit that memorable homerun to WIN THE GAME in the bottom of the 11th inning and SEND BOSTON HOME!!! My dad and I were sitting in the section where he HIT THE HOMERUN! It was UNBELIEVABLE!! We were jumping and hugging and laughing... I wish I could bottle that feeling! Having worked for the Yankees for 5 years, I've been to a LOT of memorable games... that one may have taken the cake. Well, remember that 'dude' who I only knew for two weeks and didn't know might be worthy of Yankees' Playoff tickets so early on in my relationship? He'll be my husband in 54 Days and 50 minutes! (a little secret... I will NEVER regret going to that game with my dad... I think he'll ALWAYS be my favorite Yankee compadre!!!![]()
