Funny thing about living in PA....

I hate not living near the beach anymore. I grew up in Babylon, with the town beaches..... not like we went ALL THE TIME, but, they were there, just 10 minutes away.

Everyone around here takes their big summer vacation to the beach! Either the Jersey shore, or Delaware shore, or Marlyand shore.... it's so weird to me. You're going on vacation, to the beach????

So, FH and I are going on our big beach vacation tomorrow!!! lol. We're going to Jersey, near AC, so that gambling is only a car ride away! We're leaving tomorrow morning, and will be there through Sunday. I really hope the hotel has internet!! We are bringing the dog, and found a beach we can bring her to, so, I'm excited about that.

This weekend I went to Wal*Mart to shop for trip stuff, and, I bought a sheet for the beach, to lie on. FH thought it was the most ridiculous ghetto thing ever. Everyone brings a sheet to the beach though!

Okay, this was the most random ridiculous thread ever, continue on with your day.

When you live by the beach you take advantage of it. You know its there but you don't go. Have fun. FH and I took a vacation to NJ a couple summers ago and we ended up going to AC all the time. You should have a lot of fun with the dog on the beach. Take lots of pics. Enjoy.

I know what you mean with living in a landlocked state.....
I hardy went to the beach when I lived in LI, BUT, when we lived in PA, I totally missed the option of going to the beach! We have been back in LI for about a year and I haven't been to the beach, but like havign the option of jumping on the Wantagh ad going. It makes me feel at home...haha

I know how you feel! I grew up in Maine and always lived within a few miles of like 7 beaches. And then i went to Hofstra and would go to Joans Beach or Point Lookout when i stayed here for the summer. And even when i lived in manhattan, I came to LI on weekends to visit FH. And now we live in Long Beach- and our building is beach front. now we dont know how we will ever move away! Haha! I almost feel claustrophobic if i am away from the water!

See im the opposite! I go to the beach every second I can! In the summer, it basically has to be raining or really freezing for me not to go.

Tell him to sit on the sand and rist getting sand in his crack if he doesn't like your sheet- haha

LMAO! I should totally put out the sheet and lay all over it, and then when he says something, just say, 'Well, you think it's ghetto! Sit in the sand!!!'

He was like, 'It will fly away!!!' Duh... that's what coolers and flip flops are for, to hold the sheet down!!!
