should i pick out the furniture for the room first, or pick out the paint color first? I am pretty confused?

We'e done it both ways. For my family rrom - we picked color first. For my master we picked the furniture and are working the room color around that and our bedding. I guess it is personal preference adn what works for ya.

Well if its a living room where you are more apt to pick a couch color...I would say pick your furniture first. For a dining room where your furniture is more neutral (like wood tones etc) I would pick the wall color first. But I think it really is your preference.

We did furniture first then color. Unless you have your heart set on a color it may be easier to pick furniture first.

Furniture first then color. It's easier to match a paint color to your furniture than the other way around.

For our bedroom, we painted it first and didn't get our furniture until way later (we slept on an air mattress for awhile). But we picked the color based on the bedding we had!
for our living room, we got our furniture first and then picked a color to coordinate with our dark brown couches. It was much easier that way!

I think whatever catches your eye first or whatever you WANT MORE If you have your heart set on a color, go for it. if you have your heart set on furniture already, buy it and then play with colors..

Exactly what I was going to say. I had my heart set on a yellow LR so we picked the color then the furniture same with my dinning room I wanted a jade color and then we found Cherry set that goes great in it.

It can be done in any order.
Work with things that you like/love, such as a fabric (drapes, upholstery), paint color/chip, piece of furniture and then work your room around it. You have to do what's easiest for you.
