FH and I began furniture shopping yesterday and spent the day on 110 in Huntington/Farmingdale where all of the furniture stores seem to be located. So my question is for those of you who have bought furniture...where did you get it? It seemed so overwhelming and so many places had similar deals and pieces..... TIA

Re: Furniture with POLL
Sorry, I don't have any personal experience. But FYI- I've heard Raymore & Flanigan does alot of bait and switch. So just make sure you're getting what you think you are with them.

Ikea . . . because I'm poor.
When FH and I get a house, I plan on looking at Ethan Allen and in Macy's Furniture.
Believe it or not, Costco has some nice furniture.

Love love love The Place (in Farmingdale). We got our bedroom and living room furniture there, and once we redo our dining room we're going back for our dining room table!

Re: Furniture with POLL
Raymour and Flanigan!! We had the best experience. No problems and we got it on time. They tell you 3 days. But if you want it like 1-2 weeks later that is ok too. We bought ours in february and we had it delivered this past week. Everythign came in perfect condition nothing wrong and the delivery men were great. Very careful!! We had no problems. My parents have bought furniture frm them also and never had any problems.

Re: Furniture with POLL
My sister ordered her furniture from the place and it took them 3 months to get it because they didn't tell her it wasnt in stock.
It is nice though!

Re: Furniture with POLL
Raymour and Flanigan has a lot of nice stuff. I would stay away from The Place. We went there when we were looking at dining room sets... FH tested a chair there and the back snapped right off it (the wood just split). Their furniture is beautiful but I don't trust it after that.
