Further to Shel's post, does anyone do silk ribbon embroidery?
It's sooooooo beautiful. My mom wants to teach me and I want to learn! Anyone here know how to do it? Or have any good books?

Hi Angel - my mother does it and is all excited about teaching me - she says one needs to learn basic embroidery first, to get the basic stitches down. It's basically embroidery with silk ribbon instead of thread...it makes really beautiful flowers and borders...and incredible smocking for baby clothes... here are some examples but I will find better ones..

it looks to me very similar to cross stitch and not too hard to learn
have fun! im sure your creations will be beautiful - i have so many of my cross stitches hanging on the wall and they make great presents for my grandma and mom etc.
