I just purchased my future in laws' gifts, but I was just wondering what people are giving to their in laws when they aren't contributing to the wedding? I actually bought my Mom the same thing, but I also bought her an additional gift from me because she is basically paying for 90% of the wedding!

Edited to add: I bought my FMIL and FFIL a $100 gift certificate each to Jet Blue because they love to travel (esp to Florida and Vegas - and Jet Blue goes to both places)!!

We havent figured this out yet. The problem is that I thought we could just give them the album but FMIL has told me that she does not want the album. Suggestions would be appreciated

LOL - my FMIL told me she didn't want the album either! I was slightly offended... This is coming from the same woman who did not take one picture during my shower.

i gave my mother in law a hankie that had a cute poem and a framed picture of my dh getting an award with the police commish but thats all i did. they werent contributing so i figured that was more then enough

I know right??? FH and I are paying for everything but my parents are making the final payment on the hall which will be like $10k. FIL's aren't paying for anything and I still have to get them a present. I think their album is enough thank you very much!

We actually got the same thing for both parents (so there wouldn't be any 'problems') While on vacation we got a great price for a beautiful lladro piece and we got them shipped here. When you're in USVI you save on the tax and 15% off sticker price.

We got our mothers a gift certificate for the spa at Mario Badescu and our fathers both got cuff links engraved with their initials.

We are doing parent albums for both sets of parents. And I will likely do something special for my parents on my own, and if FH wants to do something add'l for his, then he'll do that separately too.
