overwhelming!

So I went there and they had 1 of 3 main dresses I went there to try on - the other 2 did not come in yet.

So let's start off with the Maggies. Anniston - I was obsessed with finding this dress to try on, and I get it on me, and actually didn't like as much in person. I tried on the Edith dress which was similar to the Lorraine dress I wanted to try on and it looked nice but I decided the whole flower embellishment didn't work for me, so I put that dress aside.

Then I tried on a couple of dresses from Paloma Blana and Essence of Australia. 2 of them were alright but not the ones.

Then I had about 10 mins left in my appt and lady said go find 1 more dress to try on. I see this Maggie (Kara) which was similar in style to the Brigitte my mom wanted me to try on (one of the reasons we drove all the way to CT). So I say 'Let me try this on to appease her'.

Let me start of by saying than when I was picturing the dress I wanted to wear on my wedding day, this was totally not the style I had in mind. Can I tell you, i LOVED it!! I stooed in front of the mirror and thought 'Now this is a wedding dress'. I didn't particularly like what was going on on the top as far as detail, but now I know that this style really flatters me and I cannot not wait to try on the Brigitte because I actually like the detail alot!

I took a couple of pics but they are on my mom's camera and she's a slow as molasses with uploading pics. Maybe Wednesday when I am by her house I will snag her camera and upload them myself.

well i am sorry to hear you went all the way to ct to find out they didnt get all the dresses in for you...
those 2 dresses though are beautiful!!!! I know that babylon village bridal and paradise bridal have LOTS of maggies! Lilletes does too!

I think a lot of the time we have a vision of what we want and 'the one' is somehting completley different then what we thought...

a suggestion if i may.....the next place i would go to is a place that doesnt have a time limit! the three above mentioned offer that as well as elena bridal couture in merrick....

And I agree, I hated that I was only limited to an hour. Not that this place had a huge selection that I had more dresses I wanted to try on but I would have like to not have been rushed to change out of a dress and get the next one on.

I have been to Village and I thought they were great. I think I may try them next.

EXCITED!!!!

So I just called up the Maggie HQ to see if any stores had ordered the dress and they said that both Lillette's in Baldwin and Lotus Bridal in brooklyn have the dress in stock!

So I am going to try and make an appt for Lillette's sometime soon to go try it on (and of course others ).

JLWSJC = Kara really was a beautiful dress and fell very nicely in the back. When I get the pics I will definitely upload them to show you. You should definitely try it on if that's the style you are going for.

Not sure if you are nearby to it, but I had called Village Bridal to see if they had the Brigitte and she no, but they had Kara. Should go try it on!
