FYI: FIREWORKS TONIGHT

For anyone who is interested:

The Village of Amityville's fireworks start between 8:30-9 pm by the Amityville train station. It's usually a pretty good show.


For those who want to get there early Amityville is having their 'family fun' night today beginning at 5. Its on Route 110 by the gazebo. The local restaurants have special food, there's drinks, carnival games, rides for the kiddies and a petting zoo.

Does the carnival stuff go on through out the night?

I was just going to go to the beach for sunset with FH and a few friends. Oh and of course Coors Light! haha!

the carnival stuff ends at 8 - around that time everyone walks over by the LIRR station to watch the fireworks. There are usually still people walking around selling ice cream and stuff.

It's a lot of fun. I'm heading over to my mom's in a bit because she does an open house/happy hour starting at like 5 for her neighbors and friends. We hang out by mom's, drink a bit, walk into town for the carnival stuff, go back to moms and then walk over for the fireworks.
